WHO CAN APPLY
• All SA residents aged 18 – 35 years old (not turning 36 before 31 March 2022)
• Must live close to a school.
• Preference for the Education Assistant positions will be given to applicants
with post school qualifications
Q: Can I apply if I am receiving the R350 COVID grant?
A: Yes, you can! Those receiving child, Covid, disability or social grants are allowed to apply. You must NOT apply if you are receiving the following government grants (NSFAS, Funza Lushaka).

Q. Do I need to be vaccinated to get a EA or GSA position?
A. For the safety of the students and teachers it is preferred that all young people that will be working in schools are vaccinated however the final decision on this will be made by the schools themselves – Applicants are all in the age bracket that are eligible for the vaccine and should visit a vaccine site closest to them to get the vaccine
