NBS Sensa Jobs 2022

Six hundred thousand people applied for jobs in the 2022 population and housing census. Census Commissioner Anna Makinda said the number of applicants who applied for jobs for the census exercise was 674,484 people who applied. When will NBS announce the names of Sensa Clerks 2022?

According to Timetable the names of applicants selected for SENSA exercise 2022 will be announce at Between July 6 -26 July 2022. NBS released the Time table showing how the sensa events will be done. Population and Housing Census will be Conducted in August 23, 2022.

The names of those selected for census employment will be announced by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) through the Media and also through the PMO-RALG and NBS website.

All applicants will be able to determine whether or not they have been nominated when the NBS announces the names.

About Census 2022

The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania plans to conduct a Population and Housing Census by August 2022. The Ministry of Finance and Planning through the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) in collaboration with the Office of the Chief Statistician of Zanzibar (OCGS), is in the process of preparing to conduct the Census. The Population and Housing Census is a national exercise conducted every 10 years where the last census to be held in the country is the one in 2012. Thus the Census 2022 will be the Sixth Census to be held in the country after the Union of Tanganyika and Zanzibar in 1964. Census others took place in 1967, 1978, 1988, 2002 and 2012.

Significance of the 2022 Population and Housing Census

The unique significance of the 2022 Population and Housing Census include: –
To assist the Government to obtain basic information that will support the process of implementing the Vision for Development 2025, health and social reform, as well as the monitoring of international development agendas;
Population information assists in district authorities in the implementation of development plans that reflect the needs of the people at the relevant levels and assist in the balance of resource allocation;
Basic information on demographic, socio-economic status of population and housing plans at all levels;
Allocation in calculating other indicators eg Individual GDP, GDP, Employment and Unemployment and student enrollment rate;
Information that will enable the government to identify population growth, by distribution and other indicators, which are important for environmental management; and
The basis of good governance and inclusive democracy. Accurate Census data is needed for the effective allocation of constituencies, adjusting administrative boundaries in local government.

The Ministry of Finance and Planning through the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) in collaboration with the Office of the Chief Statistician of Zanzibar (OCGS), is in the process of preparing to conduct the Census.

Responsibilities of census staff

The Population and Housing Census is a national exercise conducted every 10 years where the last census to be held in the country is the one in 2012. Thus the Census 2022 will be the Sixth Census to be held in the country after the Union of Tanganyika and Zanzibar in 1964. Census others took place in 1967, 1978, 1988, 2002 and 2012.

Responsibilities of census staff

KARANI WA SENSA(CENSUS CLERK): if selected he will be required to attend training clerks where after training if he succeeds he will have to return to the area he or she came from or was assigned to any other place to perform the following duties: –

i) Identify the boundaries of the census area in comparison to the map of the census area and the description of the boundaries on the map;
ii) Collaborate with the supervisor and local leadership to identify as in In the census there are special groups that need to be counted
in a special order different from ordinary households;
iii) Interviewing the community questionnaire at the neighborhood / street / shehia level;
iv) Count all the people who slept within the boundaries of the census area the night before the Census Day within the allotted time;

v) Post in the system the work done and completed daily Dwelling NBS / OCGS Headquarters;
vi) Use all Census materials and documents according to the objectives intended; maintain them and submit them to the Supervisor after work completion;
vii) Reporting to the Census Supervisor on implementation challenges census responsibilities;
viii) To calculate all buildings in the area within the allotted time;
ix) Register all residential addresses in the respective area within the stipulated time
x) Performing other Census-related tasks to be assigned by the Leader.

MSIMAMIZI WA MAUDHUI (CONTENT SUPERVISOR): if selected he will be required to attend training Census supervisors where after training if successful will be required attend Census clerk training then return to the area of origin or be allocated any other area for the implementation of the following functions: –
i) Ensuring that every Census clerk identifies the census area;
ii) Ensure that each clerk has the necessary equipment as listed in the “Census Clerk Guide”.
iii) Ensuring that clerks understand the work and their schedules are prepared well and they follow them;
iv) Ensuring that the community questionnaire at the Sub-District / Street / Shehia level has been fully interviewed by the relevant clerk within three days prior to counting people;
v) Collaborate with the local leadership to identify as in the area of census there are special groups that need to be counted for special order different from ordinary households;
vi) Allocate households to each clerk according to the planned procedure if the location one census will have more than one clerk and ensure households all in the relevant area are calculated and calculated only once;
vii) Ensure that all persons sleeping within the boundaries of the counting area people on the eve of Census Day are numbered;
viii) Ensuring that every building in the Suburb / Counting Area is accessible to counted after the main Census exercise based on the areas in which The Census Clerk was distributed during the census exercise;
ix) Ensure that all residential addresses in the Suburb / Counting Area registered;
x) Ensuring that he communicates with the clerks regularly, and evaluate their performance and, where necessary, provide additional guidance;
xi) Consult with various officials and higher authorities if any challenges that require decisions at that level;
xii) Inspect and ensure the Census clerk has sent his work to the headquarters of NBS / OCGS according to established procedure;

xiii) Using various forms of material control and conduct of the Census exercise in general; and
xiv) To perform such other functions as the Census shall be assigned by the Leader wake.

MSIMAMIZI WA TEHAMA (IT SUPERVISOR): if Selected he will be required to attend training Census supervisors where after training if successful will be required attend Census clerk training then return to the area of origin or be allocated any other area for the implementation of the following functions: –
i) Ensuring that every clerk has a system with a system data collection of the 2022 Population and Housing Census, System Housing Address Information Collection works effectively;
ii) Ensure that every clerk has a power bank, charger and other equipment of IT as listed in the “Clerk’s Guide to Census “and they work effectively;

iii) Ensure that he makes regular contact with the clerks about ICT issues, and evaluating their operational performance and when necessary, provide additional guidance;
iv) Resolve all ICT challenges that may arise during census exercise, Real Estate Census and Residential Address Census;
v) Provide professional assistance to ensure that the Census clerk sends completed work headquarters on time and ensure that the work received; and
vi) To perform other ICT-related tasks related to the Census and its Leader.

Dar es Salaam Region

The city of Dar es Salaam began as a small fishing village known as Mzizima. The village was established by the Bawaawa who mixed with the Zaramo towards parts of the East African continent and which became known as the ‘Caravan Routes’. Construction of the Sultan’s residence and port officially began in 1865 in the Mzizima village area. The construction was completed in 1866 with Sultan Majid bin Said moving to Dar es Salaam that year.

The German colonial government decided to relocate its administrative headquarters in East Africa from Bagamoyo to Dar es Salaam. However, after the Germanic defeat of the Germans in World War I in 1916, the city of Dar es Salaam remained the seat of British colonial rule in Tanganyika until it gained independence in 1961.

Dar es Salaam continued to be the capital. of independent Tanganyika and eventually became the headquarters of the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania until 1972 when the Government decided to relocate its headquarters to Dodoma. The city of Dar es Salaam continued to remain popular as the capital and commercial hub of Tanzania.

Preparations for the 2022 Population and Housing Census

The implementation of the population and housing census takes place in three main phases which are Pre-Census Period, Census Period and Post-Census Period.

Pre-Census Period

The pre-census period includes the preparation of the Census Management and Implementation Strategy Manual and other documentation, Demarcation of Census and Map Production Areas, Material Preparation (Questionnaires and Guidelines); Awareness, Experimental Census by 29 August 2021 one year before the Census itself; Establish census committees; holding meetings with statistical stakeholders; making purchases, making choices about the type of technology to be used, hiring investigators and supervisors, distribution of equipment; and preparing for the Census Assessment.

Census Period

The census includes the main and important tasks in this census exercise.

Period After Counting People

Post-census period includes Processing Census Reporting, Analysis, Preliminary Results Delivery, Dissemination of Final Results, Promotion of Use of Statistics to Employees of Ministries, Departments and Government Institutions.
