The Minister of State, Office of the President, Regional Administrations and Local Governments (TAMISEMI) Mohamed Mchengerwa has announced that for this month January and February 2024, the Ministry has received permission to hire 23,000 Teachers and Health Officers and that they will soon announce the job vacancies.

“For this month of January and February, the Office of the President, TAMISEMI, we have the employment permit and we will soon announce the employment of nearly 23,000 Teachers and Health Officers, the Government has also succeeded in promoting the ranks and ranks of approximately 227,263 Teachers and paying the new Teachers their entitlements and now The government continues to go through all the teachers who were delayed in their promotion to ensure they are placed in the positions and grades they deserve” – Mchengerwa
In addition, Minister Mchengerwa has said that the government spends approximately 33.3 billion every month to provide free education in the country while for the 2022/2023 financial year the government has hired 13,000 teachers and sent them to areas with shortages in order to reduce the teaching burden for teachers
Applicant Qualifications
- Be a citizen of Tanzania
- Must be at least 18 years of age and not older than 45 years
- He or she has never been employed by the Government and obtained a check number and if the applicant has been employed by the Government and obtained a Check Number,
- He or she will be required to comply with the Procedure for Transfer or Return to Public Service after resigning as specified in Circular No. CCB.228 / 271/01 dated 07 August, 2012.
- Applicant should be qualified and professional in accordance with the Staff Development Circular No.. 1 of 2009 regarding cadres under the Ministry of Health as outlined above.
All applications should be accompanied by the following documents
- Copy of birth certificate
- Copy of Form Four / Six certificate
- Copy of Professional Certificates (Certificates and Transcripts)
- Copy of Full Registration Certificate
- Applicants who have studied abroad should be accredited by Accreditation from the Tanzania Colleges and Universities Commission (TCU).
- Internship Training Certificate Personal Information (CV)
- Recent passport size photo
Additional information to consider
- Selected applicants will be assigned to work in areas with severe staff shortages. So you will have to choose the area in which you would like to be assigned if you are to succeed in getting that position; In addition, there will be no change of channel once you get the opportunity Copies of all Certificates should be certified by the Court or Advocate
- Applicants who volunteer in the various regions should attach a letter of identification from the Chief Physician / Commissioner of the relevant Authority.

- Any applications submitted by post or delivered directly to the office will not be processed.

Applicant will then apply through www.ajira.moh.go.tz and fill their information’s as per modules which are Registration, Personal Details, Educational Details, Professional Details, Experiences Details, Documents Details and Application
Following steps will be followed
1. Log In to the System
The link www.ajira.moh.go.tz will direct to the login page, where you will enter your username and password,
then click Login button, after successful login you will be directed to applicant dashboard.
2. Creating user account/Registration.
Fill all of the required details and submit to complete your registration, then proceed with other procedures to
complete your application
3. Education Details
This is the module where applicant can enter education details. Education details required here are form four and form six. Form four is mandatory details while form six depends whether applicant completed form six or not. If he/she completed form six, then this detail must be filled. In order to fill these details, click on education details. The form below will open. Then click on Add New button to add education details.
Fill the form then click submit button. After click submit button, a page below will open. Then Click Add New if you want to enter form six education details or click Next Button to proceed with professional details
Then, a form below will open in which you suppose to enter first form six education details once you have clicked Add New
