UNZA Bursaries 2022 online Application
The University of Zambia (UNZA) was established by Act of Parliament No. 66 of 1965. The first intake of students took place on 17th March 1966. The motto of the University, SERVICE AND EXCELLENCE has guided the development of the University since its inception.
UNZA is situated in Lusaka on two campuses. The main campus is the Great East Road Campus and it is situated on the Great East Road, 6km from the town center. The other campus is the Ridgeway Campus catering for the Medical School. It is situated on John Mbita Road, 4km South East of Lusaka, opposite the University Teaching Hospital.
Application for UNZA Bursaries 2022 Entry is now open for Zambia students at Copperbelt University and the University of Zambia in Zambia.
The University does not award the bursary but admits students who had been sponsored by the Government and Non-Government Organizations (NG0s). Therefore all bursary application processions should be addressed to the Ministry of Education’s Bursaries Committee.
Eligibility for Bursary 2022
To be eligible For a student loan an individual must be:
- Zambian citizen
- School leaver up to 3 years prior to commencement of the programme
- Admitted into a degree programme at one of the local public universities.
Students loan package
The loan package covers the following:
- Tuition fees
- Accommodation fees
- Cost of books (Book allowance)
- Project and equipment expenses
- Student upkeep The actual funding levels are determined by the Government through the Bursaries Committee in consultation with the universities and other relevant stakeholders.
HOW TO APPLY FOR GRZ STUDENTS LOAN 2021/2021 AT UNZA
Follow the steps below:
- Download the Application Form https://www.unza.zm/how-apply
- Deposit K150.00 in any of the following banks(0100110273800 @ Standard Chartered Bank. OR 62607694371 @ FNB)
- Attach a copy of NRC and Results to the copy of the downloaded application form.
- Email or send DOCUMENTS to customerrelation@unza.zm
Condition of the loan
- The loan is determined by the Bursaries Committee and is not negotiable by the students’ union,
- The loan is only valid for one academic year/semester but may be renewable on the application on the production of satisfactory academic results,
- Part of the loan due to the student is paid to the beneficiary through a commercial bank as funds become available,
- Candidates awarded a Student Loan are expected to meet any shortfall not covered by the loan.
- Upon completion of a programme, a student loanee shall be given a grace period of one year whereafter the repayment of the loan shall commence.
- However, one can start the repayment of the loan even earlier
