Job Title: Relationship Managers – Commercial Banking
- Reports to: Senior Manager SME & Corporate Banking
- Function level: Assistant Manager
BASIC PURPOSE:
As relationship Manager commercial, you will play a pivotal role in intitiating and managing strong client relationship for upper SMEs and corporate corporate customers contributiong to business development, and ensurering effective business growth for both deposit, loan book and quality portfolio management. Primary objective is to contribute to deposit mobilization, revenue generation, loan book growth, risk management and overall client satisfaction.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Business growth
Deposit mobilization
- Recuiting potential upper SMEs and coporote customers and their ecosystems to secure deposit growth.
- Come up with initiatives to support deposit mobilization strategy.
Growing Loan Portfolio
- Onboarding new potentail upper SME and corporate customers on daily basis with intention of Identifying and negotiating business opportunities in order to recruit customers
- Generating, tracking and closing sales leads and pipelines to ensure maturity.
- Explore opportunities in the market and devising strategies for benefits realization.
- Facilitate processing of credit application as per committed TAT.
- Monitoring of loan convennats to ensure compiance across the loan tenure
2. Portfolio Quality Management
- Overall monitoring of loan book portfolio to ensure quality as per monitoring guidelines
- Track delinquent collection to contain of migrations and share collection update with respectively supervisor periodically
3. Relationship management
- Initiate, develop and maintain strong business relationship with existing and potential customers on behalf of the bank.
- Act as bank’s key contact person to upper SMEs and corporate customers.
- Explore and convert business opportunities to ensure profitable business from each customer ecosystem.
4. Capacity Building
- Nurture and support to other staff to ensure they have necessary skills and support for effective execution of their roles and efficient customer service.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- The role requires customer focused person, committed and keen business acumen
- Comprehensive knowledge in both SME and corporate financial solutions
- Adeguate experience in SME and corporate lending cycles and management.
- Commendable experience in Credit underwriting.
- Advanced / Expert level on sales, interpersonal and networking skills.
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with various external stakeholders.
- A detailed understanding of banking industry regulation requirements.
- Persuasion and negotiation skills.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor degree in any bussines related field. Masters degrees and proffesional certifcation will be added advantage.
- At least 3 years experince in corporate or 5 years experience in upper SME banking
