Conservation officer II – Accountant at TANAPA (1 POST)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintaining books of accounts and allied records;
  •  Ensuring collection of revenue is conducted appropriately;
  • Ensuring proper expenditure of organization funds;
  •  Preparing and maintaining books of accounts including financial management reports;
  •  Controlling financial accounts including proper recording, banking, credits and
    claims;
  • Ensuring and implementing best practices in areas of work specialization
  • Coordinating the preparations of budgets;
  •  Preparing bank reconciliation statements;
  •  Preparing and submit financial statements for auditing
  •  Pre–auditing and approving payment vouchers;
  • Attending audit queries and liaising with external and internal auditors;
  • Preparing draft final accounts;
  • Preparing monthly trial balance and bank reconciliation statements;
  • Ensuring that statutory payments and all deductions are remitted to respective
    authorities and properly accounted for;
  • Computing taxes, preparing tax returns and ensuring compliance with other tax
    requirements;
  • Preparing and submitting periodic reports timely;
  • Monitoring cash flow performance and advising the management accordingly; and
  • Performing other related duties assigned by superior.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in either Accountancy, Finance, or Business Administration (majoring in
Finance or Accountancy), from recognized institutions with CPA (T) or ACPA.

  • AGE LIMIT: Not above 30 years.
  • REMUNERATION: Salary Scale: TNPSS E

GENERAL CONDITIONS:

  2. Applicants should be ready to attend and successfully complete six months of Paramilitary Recruits Course before issued with appointment letter.

    ▪ Form IV and Form VI National Examination Certificates. Professional Registration and Training Certificates from respective, Registration or Regulatory Bodies, (where applicable). Birth certificate.
  6.  Attaching copies of the following certificates is strictly not accepted: –
    • Form IV and form VI results slips.
    • Testimonials and all Partial transcripts.
  7. An applicant must upload recent Passport Size Photo in the Recruitment Portal.
  8. An applicant employed in the Public Service should route his application letter through his respective employer.
  9.  An applicant who is retired from the Public Service for whatever reason should not apply , An applicant should indicate three reputable referees with their reliable contacts
  10. Certificates from foreign examination bodies for Ordinary or Advanced level education should be verified by The National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA).
  11. Professional certificates from foreign Universities and other training institutions should be
    verified by The Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) and National Council for Technical Education (NACTE).
  12.  A signed application letter should be written either in Swahili or English and Addressed to
    Secretary, Presidents Office, and Public Service Recruitment Secretariat.
