The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania through the Ministry of Health and the Office of The President of Regional Administrations and Local Governments (OR-TAMISEMI) implements the Plan Integration of Health Care Workers at the Community Level in the country. Through this program, The government has put in place a procedure to find Ministers with established qualifications, to provide training and using Community Level Health Workers in the implementation of interventions Integrated Health, Nutrition and Social Welfare where the Program requires Caregivers two (2) i.e. Male and Female for each Neighborhood/Street.
In implementing this Plan, the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Office of the President – TAMISEMI announces to the citizens that this program is for the first phase you will start in 10 Regions and two (2) Councils for each Region as shown in the Table:
In addition, the implementation of this Plan will continue in phases in the Regions and All councils in Mainland Tanzania. Citizens with eligible qualifications within 10 Regions shown in the previous Table, they are encouraged to apply for positions Community Level Health Workers in all Streets/Townships within their councils. All applications should be submitted to the Board Directors, who will supervise the exercise of choosing the qualified ministers among them who applied in accordance with the guidelines provided.
Qualifications of applicants:
- a) Have an official identity such as a National Identity Card (NIDA) or Document passport or Driver’s License or Voter’s ID;
- b) He must have completed Secondary Education (at least Form Four) and have Leaving Certificate;
- c) He is a resident and currently lives in the Township/Village and the relevant Street;
- d) He should be familiar with the language, culture, traditions and customs of the relevant Community;
- e) Acceptable Morally and Culturally by the relevant society;
- f) He should not have a history of criminal acts including sexual violence and violence against children;
- g) He should be self-motivated, hardworking and motivated to serve the community;
- h) Be honest and able to keep customer information confidential;
- i) He should be willing and able to work in the relevant Neighborhood or Street and;
- j) He should be at least 18 years old and not more than 55 years old.
Applications should be submitted to the Ward Executive Office accompanied by:
- a) Job application letter handwritten and signed by the applicant
- b) Copy of Form IV Leaving Certificate;
- c) Two (2) Passport Size Photographs;
- d) Personal information (CV), showing age, full address and telephone number of cell phone, along with the address/cell phone number of the Guarantors at least two (2).
- e) Confirmation letter from the Village/Street Executive Officer of the area he comes from.
