Fahamu Madaraja ya walimu 2024 (IIIA, IIIB, IIIC), madaraja ya walimu 2024, The Teachers Service Commission is the Employment and Disciplinary Authority for Teachers under Teacher Service Commission Law No. 25 of 2015. Responsibilities of Commissions are specified in Article No. 5 of that Law along with its Regulations of the Year 2016. The Department of Employment, Ethics and Teacher Development carried it the basic duties of the Commission. This department has two parts which are Part of Employment and Development of Teachers and the Ethics and Discipline section.

Commission in the Department of Employment, Ethics and Teacher Development, Employment Section and
Teacher Development deals with issues of Employment and registration, verifying at work, to promote, to change the position/career they have developed, Training Program for Teachers, the organization of the Teachers’ Union, contract jobs for teachers, benefits of the conclusion of the work of Pensions and Inheritance which is paid by the Treasury, issues resulting from retirement, resignation, appointment and death, re-employment teaching after leaving the job in an orderly manner or being fired and issuing permits for Teachers retire in accordance with the Law.

The Commission is responsible for preparing information on implementation and submission to the Minister of State, Office of the President – Regional Administrations and Local Governments.

Rule 5 (1) – (5) of the 2016 Teachers Service Commission Regulations have directed the procedure to confirm the work of Teachers. The process dictates to confirm at work teachers who have mastered the responsibilities of work and
remove him/her from work / extend the time for the teacher that he/she has not been able to afford responsibilities (they have not met the criteria) after completing the waiting period (Probationary Period) established by law.

Criteria and procedure for confirming the work of the Teacher

  • i) The teacher should be certified on the job within 12 months since he was hired for the first time in the Public Service; The Principal will provideinformation on the Teacher’s Performance during the period of Expectations in consideration

  • ) Three months before the end of the expectation period ie (Months 12), the relevant Local Government Authority will send an assessment and recommendations of teachers who met the criteria at the Commission Offices level District;
