📝 About the Role: Logistics Manager
As the Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain, optimizing transport strategies, ensuring customer satisfaction, and managing warehouse operations. This role is vital for driving efficiency and delivering outstanding service to Knauf’s clients and partners.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:

Plan and execute transport and distribution strategies across East Africa.

Coordinate import/export activities, customs clearance, and shipping documentation.

Develop strong relationships with freight forwarders, transporters, and customs agents.

Manage and optimize warehouse operations and inventory flow.

Ensure compliance with legal and internal regulations.
-
Lead and develop a logistics team focused on performance and reliability.

Provide accurate logistics cost analysis and reporting.
✅ What We’re Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics and transport management.

Experience in FMCG or industrial manufacturing is an advantage.

Strong knowledge of customs procedures, Incoterms, and warehouse systems.

Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
-
Fluency in English; Swahili and/or German is a plus.
