ASSISTANT SOCIAL WELFARE OFFICER II – NAFASI 229

JOB DUTIES

  • i. Identifying and serving people in special groups and environments dangerous,
  • ii. Prepare an annual work plan according to the budget for social welfare activities in the work station
  • iii. Identifying and making an initial assessment for people with disabilities, victims of sexual abuse and violence against children to connect them with services social welfare
  • iv. Participating in the classification of various consultations concerning the welfare of society non-judicial
  • v. Receive and prepare a list of recommendations for medical exemptions and other social welfare services for the deserving
  • v. Participating in child protection and safety activities
  • vii. Participating in activities to establish and review education and development centers of children in various areas including disaster areas and camps refugees
  • viii. To identify and collaborate with social welfare stakeholders and connect them with people with special needs to get the right services
  • ix. Receiving and collecting data for the preparation of employee information social welfare
  • x. Participating in the monitoring of the progress of the consultations of welfare workers of the community and prepare information for the initial social survey and submit it in relevant level (Social Inquiry/ Investigation Report)
  • xi. Maintaining the register and updating the records of the employees
  • xii. Providing education to the community on various social welfare issues
  • xiii. To do any other work assigned by his superior according to his knowledge and skills

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

  • Employed fourth or sixth form graduates with Diploma training in the following fields; Social work, Sociology, Psychology, Social protection, Guidance and Counseling, Theology, Divinity, Child protection, Social policy, Early
    childhood development and social gerontology.

SALARY LEVEL: Based on the Government standards ie TGS C

GENERAL CONDITION OF THE APPLICANTS

  • i. All applicants must be Tanzanian Citizens not exceeding 45 years of ag except for those who are working in the government.
  • ii. Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and should to classify in the system of applying for employment the disability they have for information to the Secretariat of Employment in the Public Service.
  • iii. All applicants must attach a birth certificate certified by Lawyer/Attorney.
  • iv. Applicants who are already civil servants and have obtained entry qualifications in cadres different from the ones they have, pass their application letters for positions work for their Employers and Employers should satisfy themselves accordingly.
  • v. Applicants should attach a self-sufficient personal information (Detailed C.V) with addresses and reliable phone numbers as well as the names of the guarantors (referees) three reliable.
  • v. All applications must be accompanied by professional certificates, details, copies of certificates certified by a Lawyer/Attorney which are birth certificates, form Fourth, Sixth form for those who reached that level, graduation certificates various trainings and professional certificates according to relevant qualifications such as
    follows;
    • Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates.
    • Form IV and VI exam certificate
    • Computer Certificate
    • Professional certificates (Professional certificates from respective boards)
    • Birth certificate
  • vii. “Testimonials”, “Provisional Results”, “Statement of results”, document the results of form four and six (FORM IV AND FORM VI RESULTS SLIPS) WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
  • viii. Applicants who studied outside Tanzania should ensure that their certificates are verified by approved by the relevant Authority (TCU, NECTA and NACTE).
  • ix. Retired Civil Service applicants are not allowed to apply unless they have the permission of the Secretary General.
  • x. Job applicants who are already employed in entry-level positions located in The Public Service should not beg and should follow the existing instructions in Circular By CAC. 45/257/01/D/140 dated November 30, 2010.
  • xi. Submission of information and falsified characteristics of the parties will be taken measures legally.
