Your role will encompass budgeting, forecast and other management reports.
Key Performance Areas:
- Ensure all financial reports and management accounts are prepared accurately and on time.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis to support business decisions.
- Review accounts against prior months and budgets for reasonableness.
- Assist in month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budget and quarterly forecast

- Month-End Expertise: Experience with month-end processes, accruals, prepayments, and variance analysis.

Dp World Vacancies Tanzania: Tax Accountant- Ports and Terminals
Job Function
As Tax accountant, you will be responsible for preparing tax returns, analyzing tax regulations, monitoring industry trends, and completing tax reports. To succeed in this role, you should be analytical, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable about tax laws and regulations. A Tax Accountant should be able to ensure that tax obligations are met and that the company is in compliance with all tax laws.
Key Performance Areas:
- Filing and remitting tax as per various Tanzania Tax Acts. This includes VAT, Corporate Tax, PAYE, SDL, Withholding Tax, Stamp duty and other applicable tax.
- Reviewing financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax regulations
- Follow industry trends, track changes related to taxes and educate colleagues on current tax regulations.
- Prepare necessary paperwork for tax payments and returns e.g. generating control numbers from TRA system.
- Complete quarterly, bi-annual and annual tax reports.
- Maintain tax balances on general ledger
- Prepare and update tax provision schedules
- Manage and maintain the company’s tax database
- Working on quarterly internal tax reports and submit to group tax team
- Responding to tax-related inquiries and assisting in tax audits
- Drive process improvements and automation to improve efficiencies within the organization
Qualifications Required:
- BSc degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance or relevant field
- CPA(T) certified preferred.

Dp World Vacancies Tanzania: Mechanical Technician- Ports and Terminals
Job Function
Implement planned Mechanical maintenance and repair activities in Cranes to the standards required by the DP World for both safety and reliability.
Key Performance Areas:
- Diagnose faults on equipment
- Identify a certain cause of defects, repair methods, and spare part requirements for efficient and permanent repairs.
- Identify and select the required spare parts either by visual recognition or from technical equipment manuals thereby constantly monitoring and improving all repair methods.
- Carry out maintenance work, fault diagnosis, and repair works, on Q-cranes, RTG, MHC, Wire rope, Diesel Engines, spreaders, Steering, Brakes, and Hydraulic systems in an efficient manner.
- Implement all safety regulations required in all mechanical works as per DPW standards.
- Report & respond immediately as appropriate to any hazardous condition/act.
Qualifications Required:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Experience and Skills Required:
- 3-5 years of professional experience preferably gained in ports and terminal
- Good Knowledge of wire ropes, Spreader, Brakes, Hydraulic systems, Diesel Engines, Transmission system, Lubricants& other mechanical system.
- Good skills of understanding and reading all Mechanical drawings, Hydraulic circuits etc.
- Familiarity to modern maintenance management system in a port environment desired.
- Exposure to ZPMC, Kone Cranes, Liebherr would be highly desirable.

Job Function
As Inventory and Fixed Asset accountant you are expected to ensure the accuracy of inventory numbers and identify discrepancies in a timely manner. Also, he/she is expected to safeguard company’s asset against loss and misappropriation by implementing effective internal controls on those assets
Key Performance Areas:
- Planning and carrying out of annual stock taking and preparation of report and follow up of outstanding issues.
- Monitor inventory and prepare inventory aging reports
- Reconciling inventory G/Ls
- Perform reconciliation between Store and financial accounting system
- Reviews accuracy of inventory movement and cost adjustments
- Prepare inventory reports for management, including inventory valuation
- Collaborate with other sections/departments, including procurement, store to ensure accurate inventory forecasting and planning.
- Updating Authorization for Expenditure (i.e., AFE) forms for FM and CFO review before submitting for approval.
- Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recordation of fixed assets.
- Effectively track fixed assets by allocating tag numbers
- Work closely with Project Managers/ Technical department to track Construction in Progress (CIP) project progress and capitalize at the completion of the project
- Ensure compliance with internal fixed asset policies and GAAP regulations
- Perform reconciliation of fixed asset subsidiary ledger balance with the general ledger account
- Run monthly depreciation for all fixed assets.
- Review and update the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation.
- Conduct annual physical fixed asset count
- Conduct analyses related to fixed assets as requested by management.
- Prepare audit schedules relating to fixed assets and assist the auditors in their inquiries.
- Track company expenditures for fixed assets in comparison to the capital budget and management authorizations.
- Drive process improvements and automation to improve efficiencies within the company
Qualifications Required:
- BSc degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
- Professional qualification such as ACCA/CPA preferred.

Job Function
Responsible for managing and processing all vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate records. This role involves working closely with vendors and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies and ensure smooth financial operations.
Key Performance Areas:
Invoice Processing:
- Review and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness.
- Receiving documents and match invoices to PO and Delivery Note (3-way match).
- Code invoices and enter invoice data into the accounting system.
- Record properly in the accounting system all invoices subjected to VAT and withholding tax.
Vendor Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies with vendors.

Payment Scheduling:

Carry out electrical maintenance and repairs of all cranes, UPS, WB and substation, and other equipment based on maintaining standards as laid down by the business unit for both safety and reliability.
Key Performance Areas:
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to inform his supervisor regarding any hazards in the equipment.
- Use electrical devices (Voltmeter, Ohmmeters, other devices) to test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Analyse information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Contribute to achieve the company targets by following QHSE rules and regulations for operating and maintenance procedures related to job activities.

- Detailed technical knowledge of critical electrical/electronic components, measuring instruments and their appropriate maintenance, inspection, and testing.
